The frame is assembled and mounted!
A small change was made to the design so the range hood is suspended without a bottom plate (of course I didn't get a picture) and ill add a bottom plate using my finish material.
Next step I figured out how I could cut the finish material flat and allow it to bend to the frame without losing the correct curvature. I started with a flat projection and figured out that I would lose the curve once it bent. Then I tried creating a 3D sketch to approximate the curve where the two sides met to create a surface. Unfortunately, 3D sketches didn't have a way for me to convert the curves or constrain the sketch to the two curved profiles so I figured out it wouldn't work either.
Finally, Rachael and Albert helped me figure out that I needed to create the shape in place and THEN flatten the piece to cut out of flat stock using the Flatten Surface tool.
Which after using the Flatten Surface tool, gave me exact shapes that I can print and use as a cutting pattern :)
