Christmas is near...

And with Christmas, the traditional Secret Santa is also back :)

I wanted to do something personal and to show how 3DS people can use, without much knowledge, the 3DS Lab to create nice handmade gifts.

So I've gone for a simple phone holder, widely inspired by a project shared on the ShaperHub.

Paris' Lab recently acquired a ShaperTool Origin, and that's definitely a great router for any beginner. Just load an svg file and you're (almost) ready to go.

@SR brought several pieces of plane tree which were perfect for my need.

Half an hour of routing later, I was having the main pieces.

Then a couple of hours of sanding and waxing (the longest part!), with the amazing Rhynogrip Indasa Red line, I was ready to personalize my holder with the second great addition in the lab: The Zmorph VX:)

This tool is so versatile, at once 3D printer, a CNC and a laser engraver!

I've used it to engrave a nice dxf to make the gift personal and voilà!
