Bugeyed | Kate Reed | Process

Bugeyed is a wearable device with 6 LCD displays showing surveillance information about the wearer. This wearable is not for the wearer, but for the viewer, as they can only look at the surveillance data of the person they are facing and cannot look them in the eyes.

Aesthetically this wearable references the cells of fly eyes. It plays off the stereotypical kaleidoscope effect in movies from bugs perspectives, overwhelming the wearer and viewer with all the surveillance information.

Bugeyed was designed in XShape and made in the 3DExperience Lab in Waltham, MA.
