There's just something really satisfying about making small boxes... especially when the box is intended to be a gift for someone you love. This week @CO and I designed a monster-themed keepsake box for our niece.
We modeled everything in SOLIDWORKS for Makers, and then hand crafted the wooden parts, 3D printed the accessories, and painted it to look just as quirky and awesome as our niece.
The design also has a unique, customizable combination lock. The monster's eyes are knobs that let you dial in the combination and the monster's nose is the knob that you slide to lock or unlock the box!
