📌What is new about Community Tags?

Introduction

Tags can be used to refine your search, to eventually find the content you need.Tags are  applied to all content in the current page or conversation. The 3DSwym apps provides automatically extracted tags to all the content created, such as:

  • WHO: role (owner, author or contributor),
  • WHEN creation/update date
  • WHAT: type of content (Post, Media, Idea...)
  • WHERE: Community

In addition to these tags, you can also create your own user-defined tags directly on most of any editable content.

Community tags are the best way to classify your content in 3DSwym in a personalized way.

There  are two ways to define a specific tag. Let us discover how you can define these customized tags  through these two methods:

Method 1: Existing Community tagging

One way to create a tag would be by opening the 6wTag panel and you would be able to tag each content manually. This is the classic method that you might be familiar with.

Method 2: Additional Community Tagging (new as of R2022x FD04)

🆕Today we are able to select a pre-existing tag (created beforehand via the community preference panel) and associate it to a content easily.

Community Tags enable community members to organize content using a common set of relevant tags. It can be suggested and applied by a simple click, eliminating spelling inconsistencies and easier content filtering.

The different steps from tagging to finding a content would be:

  • 1. Define the community tags in the Community Preferences

  • 2. Tag your content with the created tag. You can either select the tag from the bottom list or you can start entering your tag (starting with a hashtag) to benefit from the predicate of existing tags

  • 3. Finally, you will be  able to use those community tags to easily retrieve your tagged content
