Managing Change & Collaboration at Scale: ENOVIA Powers the LCA60T Airship Program 🌟

When you're developing one of the world's largest hybrid airships with more than 50 partners across multiple countries, collaboration isn't just important—it's mission-critical.

FLYING WHALES, a Franco-Canadian company, is bringing together global teams responsible for propulsion, avionics, materials, control systems, and more to develop the LCA60T, a hybrid helium-electric airship using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud.

That coordination is powered by ENOVIA, providing a unified environment to manage product data, processes and configurations across all partners throughout the project's lifecycle.

“One of the great advantages of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is that it lets us work on the same model with full context,” Paul Creusvaux, Systemes Engineer at FLYING WHALES, said. “Our teams are spread across Paris, Bordeaux, Montreal and Quebec, and we spend a lot of time integrating different systems. For example, when my colleagues in Quebec work on the machine’s propulsion system, we can instantly track any changes. The shared cloud platform makes collaboration effortless.”

As FLYING WHALES prepares for testing and certification, maintaining trusted, connected data across every stakeholder is essential to ensure the airship being built is exactly the one that was designed, with every change fully traceable.

This is what modern product development looks like: connected teams, connected data and confidence in every decision.
