Perform the DraftSight installation using Administrative login.

“Error1624 (error applying transforms)”

Due to lack of permissions to install program.

System locale other than English (US)

1. Before running setup, change the system locale to English (US). (Control Panel -> Region & Language Options)

2. Try logging as an administrator and install DraftSight.

3. Change the system locale back to whatever your locale was.

Error 1722

The problem could arise from having restricted permissions to the registry folder.

OR

Damaged or incomplete install

1. Check that the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\DraftSight key has administrative permissions,apply the permissions to it.

2. Try reinstalling DraftSight.

“Xml error”.

Due to faulty installation files

1. Close DraftSight and browse to location:

For Win XP: C:\\Documents and Settings\\%username%\\Application Data\\DraftSight.)

For Win7: C:\\Users\\%username%\\AppData\\Roaming\\DraftSight.)

2. Rename the folder ‘DraftSight’ to ‘DraftSight_old’.

3. Restart the application and check if the issue still persists.

“Fatal error cannot find DraftSight msi.”

Due to corrupted installation

Try clean reinstallation of DraftSight.

“Error (1000a) layout overall viewport is invalid.”

Error is due to problem while scaling the layout when exporting to PDF.

Use Adobe pdf printer while printing/exporting to pdf.

“Error in layout manager.”

If drawing file was created in any other application and opened in DraftSight.

Try re-saving the drawing in that application and then open in DraftSight.

9.

Error 'The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002)' when trying to launch DraftSight.

This issue is caused by some missing dependencies to the module VC80.CRT. If user has some old machine and the setup doesn't install the needed dependency.

1. Uninstall DraftSight from Add or Remove Programs.

2. Then uninstall, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

3. Re-install DraftSight.

“This product is not licensed or has expired.”

If you are still using older version of DraftSight.

You will need to upgrade to latest version of DraftSight
