V62013x now supports Multiple Machines within the same Process Context document or session. This capability was delivered in order to support V5 customers that currently have multiple machines within the same workcell and wish to migrate the process AS-IS into V6. This enhancement also compliments the capability to carry a partially machined part from one machine to the next machine for further machining and finishing.
With regards to the user Experience, User can add the second machine to the workcell by selecting the 'Add New Machine' option from the drop down panel on the Machine configuration view as seen on the first image below & then selecting the machine from the database. The system displays one active machine at any given instant depending on which Machine the user chooses from the drop-down menus on the Part Operation (Activities Process tree) panel as seen in the images below. The tree of machining operations view will automatically switch by selecting the machine desired from the drop down menu on the Activities Process Tree panel as seen in the second image below. The third and fourth images show 2 different machines in the same cell.
