Richard Frontera (@RF) is one of our most passionate CATIA User. You can feel it after only a few minutes of discussion. That is why, rightfully so, he was the very first user to join the CATIA Champions Program more than a year ago. We had the chance to meet recently on the Dassault Systèmes campus, during the autumn season (you can tell obviously by the leaves), while he was visiting along with the Leko Labs team. Leko Labs is passionnate, inspiring, and enthusiastic Team of innovators & builders whose mission is to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable housing.

The Interview

One of the favorite topics for Richard is Knowledgeware and automatisation. Here is the story:

Richard has more than 17 years of experience working with CATIA. He enjoys the precision, flexibility and discipline it offers, and likes to explore the fields of possibilities. Starting his career as a draughtsman, he then worked on CATIA migration projects for major French car manufacturers, but also conducted PLM deployment and administration projects. He likes to put in place automation strategies to drive efficiency and productivity for his company. Richard is also very involved with GFUC, the French association of Dassault Systèmes users, piloting the CAD committee.
