A few weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome major automotive OEMs at the 2nd WW SFE User Meeting on the Velizy DS campus. Coming from Asia, North America and Europe, they participated in the improvement of their design and simulation process. Thanks to the rich interactions between the different companies and the R&D teams of CATIA and SIMULIA, in-depth information has been exchanged on the CATIA SFE concept and 3DEXPERIENCE.
Among the participants, our CATIA CEO Philippe Laufer had the pleasure to welcome Isamu Kizaki to the CATIA Champions Program. Isamu Kizaki is a CAE Specialist for Crash Performance Development, currently working for Mazda Motor Corporation. He is in charge of advanced development of vehicles, and studying the compatibility between performance and weight reduction by utilizing optimization techniques such as 1D model and Topology as well as FEM. SFE has been applied since 2011 as a structure optimization method.
