Designers & AI: creative responsability in question

One day after celebrating World Industrial Design Day, we continue to reflect about the relationship between creativity & industry, and how to be actors of positive transitions for a better world.

In collaboration with iF Design, the WORLD DESIGN ORGANIZATION hosted a panel exploring the topic of Creative Responsibility: Why we still need designers in the age of AI on 14 May 2023.

The event brought together designers and design theorists from in and around Berlin for a conversation around the possibilities of AI and what this new era means for design and the work of the designer.

The first presentation of the day was from Anne Asensio, a recognized designer who has held executive roles in design management and innovation strategy at Renault and General Motors. In 2008, Anne Asensio joined DASSAULT SYSTÈMES as Vice President of Design Experience. There, she founded the Design Studio, gathering a multidisciplinary team in innovation strategy by design (DesignExperience), design research, design management and consultancy. Anne has won several design and innovation awards and plays an active role in strategic boards for companies and design schools throughout the world.
