Summary of changes implemented in 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud Eligibility Tool (1.5.01):
The upgrade for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on Cloud to the 3DEXPERIENCE R2023x GA level is now complete.
A new version of the 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud Eligibility Tool is also released to take into account the changes pertaining to this level.
This new and updated version of the tool includes a couple of enhancements, as well as a few improvements. A brief summary of all the important changes done during this upgrade is highlighted below:
Enhancements:
Access to Download Links:
A new check, “Access to Download Links” is added to the list of checks present in the Cloud Eligibility Tool. This check informs and instructs the end-users to ensure that access to a few download links is NOT restricted in their firewall
Note that in near future, there are plans to enhance this check further by computing whether a particular link is restricted by the firewall or not.
New Command-Line Options:
The Cloud Eligibility Tool is capable of generating an output file (in the form of .csv) alongside the html report each time it is executed.
By default, these files can be retrieved from %Temp%\cloud directory (C:\Users\<
This new version of the Cloud Eligibility Tool includes an enhancement allowing users to retrieve these files from a user-defined location. The same has been made possible by using the command line option “–p”. This option takes in the folder path as an input parameter.
The usage of this command-line option is as described below:
CloudEligibility.exe –p <
For instance,
CloudEligibility.exe –p “D:\myOutputFolder”
In addition to the above feature, it is also possible to customize the location of debug trace file generated when using the option “-d”. To perform this customization users must make use of the command-line option “-l”
Usage:
CloudEligibility.exe –d –l << file path (along with filename) to save the debug trace file>>
Example:
CloudEligibility.exe –d –l “D:\myTraceFolder\myDebugTraces.log”
Note that by default, the traces generated by using the “-d” command-line option can be found in the “C:\tmp” folder
Changes in Hardware and Software Configurations:
The driver version “513.46” is validated for a few workstations. The tool takes into account this driver version.
In addition to this, the “Windows 11” OS has as well made it to the list of certified OS for the current level. You may refer to Dassault Systèmes Hardware and Software page for more information in this regard.
Moreover, the usual changes related to the Upgrade have also been done in the tool. To name a few, the list of certified workstations is updated and the support for browser versions is streamlined as per the current stable release. Along with this, the list of supported levels for 3DEXPERIENCE Open Software has been accordingly revised as per the newly introduced levels.
Hope that the above changes implemented in the tool prove useful for you and help you work serenely.
To stay up to date with the brand new updates, it is very much essential to download the latest version of the Cloud Eligibility Tool each time.
