Version 0.1.4.62 is available for download here

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform on Cloud has been upgraded to the 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x level. To be in line with this GA upgrade, the Cloud Eligibility Checker Tool is also improvised considering multiple aspects. This new and updated version of the tool includes various new features and enhancements

A brief summary of all the alterations done during this upgrade can be found below:

Improvisations:

Internet Connectivity:

It is vital to have internet connectivity in order to run the Cloud Eligibility Checker Tool seamlessly. A few checks cannot be computed if internet connectivity is offline. The tool is capable of displaying generic messages in each of the checks when this would happen. Additionally, it has been improvised to have a proper warning at the very top of the check table.

Presently, internet access is confirmed by accessing the URL https://www.3ds.com

If this URL is inaccessible, a warning message as below could be seen.

Note that in the case of proxy configuration it is essential to allow the below domain for the Cloud Eligibility Checker Tool to execute properly:

  • *3ds.com

Graphics Card Driver Version:

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform on Cloud has now been certified with new Graphics Card Driver versions:

  • 471.68 for NVIDIA
  • 21Q3 for AMD
  • VGPU13 for vGPU Driver

The Cloud Eligibility Checker Tool will take into account these new versions.

    • Dell Workstation T7910 (T7810) / K4200
    • ThinkStation P310 / K420

    • Zbook 15 / K2100M
    • HP Workstation Z230 / K2000
  • For AMD, the following configurations have to be removed because the driver 21Q3 cannot be installed :
    • HP Zbook 15u G4 (Zbook 14u G4) / W4190M

Port 443:

The Network Firewall check consisted of a sub-check wherein the availability of remote port 443 was being checked on basis of WebSocket connection. However, WebSocket connection in the context of the Cloud Connection URL was incorrect and has been resolved in the new version.

Secondly, https connection with Cloud Connection URL was already being confirmed in the check “Connection to Cloud Environment”. Thus, the Network Firewall check has been modified to just confirm the availability of local ports. (This check is accordingly renamed as Local Ports)

In addition to this, advice has been added to have WebSocket connection open on port 443 in case the user wants to use 3DMessaging and 3DNotification services.

Changes as per 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x GA level:

In addition to the above improvements, the usual changes pertaining to the Cloud Upgrade have also been done in the tool. To name a few, the list of certified workstations is updated, the support for browser versions is updated in the tool as per the current stable release, the list of supported levels for 3DEXPERIENCE Open Software has been accordingly updated as well.

Hope that the above changes implemented in the tool prove useful for you.

In order to stay up to date with the brand new updates, it is very much essential to download the latest version of Cloud Eligibility Checker Tool each time.
