5 Biggest lessons that can help you become an xShape pro
1. Master the Robot
- Transform (Translate, Rotate and Scale) the components using the Robot
- Orient the robot according to the components or screen or global coordinates system (XYZ)
- Move the robot to Rotate and Scale relative to new position.
2. Select like a Pro
- Use selection filters ( Vertices, Edges, Faces, Only visible element, etc.)
- Left-to-right Box Selection captures only completely inside entities .
- Right-to-left Box Selection captures partially or completely inside entities.
- Use Shift key to add and Alt key to subtract from selection.
- Double click to select the entire loop.
3. Start Simple
- Start with minimal loops
- Extrude, Insert loops and Subdivide faces as you progress.
4. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
- Ordered Geometrical Sets for positioning and reference.
- Copy and paste subdivision surfaces to create more Variations.
5. Refine your design
- Fix interference and refine the cage
