Planetary / Epicyclic Gearbox: Planetary Gearbox is a type of gearbox where input and output both have the same Centre of rotation. This type of gearbox is used to transfer the largest torque in most compact form. Planetary gearbox is widely used in automobiles.

This SOLID Saturday I've modelled Planetary Gearbox in SOLIDWORKSwith the help of SOLIDWORKS toolbox which allows you to use wide range of standard components like gears, fasteners, bearings, etc with your custom configurations. Then used Motion Study for creating animation of this gearbox.
