We are pleased to announce that on 16th Nov '24, the platform will be undergoing essential updates to 2025x GA 

We kindly request community members to plan their work accordingly, and ensure that any necessary updates are made.

Important points to Note: 

1. During this maintenance period there will be downtime on all services.

2. Be sure to save your documents on the platform before the beginning of maintenance.

3. Installing the new version is a mandatory step for all Desktop Apps users to keep working after this upgrade completion. There will be no grace period.

2025x GA update is planned on 16th November, 2024

HOW?

• All Teachers/ administrators at the college/university can refer to the following key points for the update-

• Cloud Environment Status can be checked at https://www.3ds.com/support/cloud 

• After the Update is available, it can be downloaded and installed.

Here are a few important points for installing an update-
 

1. 3DEXPERIENCE on the Cloud Native Apps Batch Installation- White Paper- (👈Click Link and refer this post for details)
   This is a Detailed Document describing everything about Batch Installation
    

2. To Download the Installer-
   Administrator Login> Platform Management Dashboard> Members Tab> Configure Apps Installation> Download the Required Installation Files. (CEF Installation Files are also available here.) 
   (Detailed information on Downloading the Native Apps Media Files is also available in the White Paper mentioned in Point1)

   Locate the downloaded File, Unzip it if needed
    

3. Which components are typically installed during the 3DEXPERIENCE platform installation process?
   1. 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher
   2. Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) component (from R2024x GA onwards) 
   3. Native Apps

Post Upgrade Actions

• Upgrade your Desktop Apps and Open Apps to discover new features**

• Installing the new version is a mandatory step for all Desktop Apps users to keep working after this upgrade completion.

• Please note that the Java Runtime prerequisite, required by some 3DEXPERIENCE Connector Apps (list available in the Program Directory), will evolve as follows :
  • IBM Semeru Runtime Open Edition for Java 21.0.4 (JDK) will be a Validated Platform.
  • IBM Semeru Runtime Open Edition for Java 21.0.x (JDK) with x >4 will be a Compatible Platform.
  • Oracle JDK 21.0.x with x>=4, will be a Compatible Platform.
