As part of my technical journey in Mechanical and Mechatronics systems, I recently completed this detailed Air Conditioner Assembly using SolidWorks and integrated it on the 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Platform to deepen my understanding of HVAC systems.
🔧 What I Learned:
- Practical hands-on experience in modeling refrigeration circuits, coils, fans, stepper motor components, gauges, expansion valves, and piping systems.
- Deep understanding of the working principle of air conditioners, including:
- Refrigerant circulation and phase change
- Heat exchange across evaporator and condenser coils
- Role of compressors, expansion valves, and fans
- Importance of insulation and pressure regulation
📘 Skills Developed:
- Advanced 3D Assembly Modeling in SolidWorks
- Application of engineering principles behind thermal systems
- Organized component hierarchy and naming conventions
Usage of motion study, Smart Fasteners, and BOM generation
🧠 This experience sharpened both my CAD skills and technical HVAC knowledge. I believe sharing projects like this can inspire other students and highlight how digital design tools bring theoretical systems to life.
