Automated Double Belt Conveyor for FMCG Industry - My Student Project

In the industrial world in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, such as canned drinks and similar products, the efficiency and accuracy of the product transfer process is a crucial factor that has a direct impact on productivity. Here is a Double Belt Conveyor design that I created using SOLIDWORKS, specifically designed to support the production process of canned drinks and similar products in the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry line

🔍 Key Design Specifications & Features:
🔧 Dual Conveyor Line Configuration: Allows two product transfer lines at once-suitable for sorting, buffering, or feeding to packaging machines.
🛠️ C Profile Steel Frame Structure: Utilizing load- and vibration-resistant steel profiles, it supports the conveyor's stable operation in the long run.
⚙️ Motor and Pulley Drive: Transmission system designed with high efficiency, equipped with tensioners and rollers to adjust the belt direction to keep it precise.
♻️ Modular Assembly System: Built with a modular approach for easy assembly, part replacement, and integration with other automation systems.
🧩 Addition of Box Guide and Roller Support: To keep the product position stable during movement on the conveyor line, avoiding product deviation and damage.

🔄 Function of this Conveyor System:
- Connects the filler machine with the sealer machine or inkjet printer.
- Separates the flow of products entering the quality check or packing process.
- Part of a continuous and integrated production line automation system.

📌 Design Advantages:
✅ Capacity of 10 boxes on each conveyor belt
✅ Product transfer efficiency can be increased compared to a single system.
✅ Compact yet robust design, saving space and material.
✅ Adjustable width for cans or other packaging.

With the addition of movement simulation and defined assembly arrangement, this design is expected to improve production line efficiency, reduce the risk of bottlenecking, and maintain product position stability during transfer.

📦 Suitable for soft drinks, canned milk, canned coffee, and similar products that require speed and accuracy in handling.

💡 “Good design is not just how it looks and feels. It's how it works.”
This project is a reflection that the combination of engineering concepts, engineering design, and understanding of industrial processes is crucial in producing real solutions for the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry.

🧠 “Engineering is about turning ideas into impact.”
Proud to be able to complete this design project as part of my learning in the world of mechanical design and industrial automation.
