When you first login to 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, You want your data to be stored in a database which is in your Collaborative space. You can create this Collaborative Space using an app "3DSpace".
Now you have installed 3DEXPERIENCE in your system, and after launching any Native app for the first time, You may come across this error below: Connection to Provider PLM1
OR
When you have launched xDesign for the first time and you have come across this error below: No Collaborative Space is assigned to you.
Why this error occurs?
Since, you're working on a cloud software where all your design data gets stored automatically. But before storing, you need to create a unique Collaborative space for yourself in which all your design related data gets saved automatically. This is a mandatory task to do before launching any xApps on web or any Native apps in your system.
How to create a New Collaborative Space?
Create a collaborative space using the 3DSpace app or request your team leader/administrator to provide an access to the existing collaborative space. Please see the steps to create collaborative space in the following video.
Note:
If you have requested an access to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform for participating in the student challenge registered on the https://edu.3ds.com/en/challenges, then you will need to create the collaborative space before using the native apps. If you are a team leader then you can create a single collaborative space for the team and share it with the team using right privileges.
