The Covtech Ventilation System for the ventilation of PPE suits.

Greetings!

I am Nihaal Singh Adarsh. I am 18 years old, currently in second year, pursuing electronics engineering at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai. I am the chief inventor of the Cov-Tech Ventilation System, and I would like to share my experience and details about this project which was supported by Dassault Systemes, 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, India.

In the month of April, the Technology Business Incubator in my college, RIIDl (Research Innovation Incubation Design Laboratories) (https://riidl.org/), hosted a design challenge. The design challenge was an open invitation to innovators, to come up with any solution to any problem faced in the COVID-19 crisis in the STEM domain. With the vision of solving the problem of poor ventilation in PPE suits, I started developing prototypes. I took an inter-district travel pass and  traveled to Mumbai, and began the work at RIIDL's fabrication laboratory. I partnered with one of my seniors in 3rd year engineering (then), Mr.Rutwik Marathe. Rutwik had profound knowledge of 3D modelling designing and has been working with me as the Chief Design Engineer ever since.  After about 20 days of RnD and multiple prototypes, we came up with a POC (proof of concept) design. Soon I filed and successfully received a pr.patent for the invention, as the chief innovator.

After declaring about the invention, I came in contact with 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, India, Dassault Systemes. 3DEXPERIENCELAB has helped me reduce my desiging time and HELPED ME RUN SIMULATIONS. It also helped me during prototyping by giving me access to the lab resources and more.

I have begun the process of registering this idea as a startup company under the name "Watt Technovations"

At Watt Technovations, we believe in 'Expanding Technical Horizons' by developing innovative devices to help provide creative solutions to daily life problems.

Our Startup Company currently focuses on 'Cov-Tech Ventilation System' which is a ventilation device for PPE Suits. It is specifically designed by combining technology with science to bring comfort to the people working during the Covid-19 pandemic in a safe manner.

We continue to prioritize on elevating the standard of technology – striving to improve the outcomes of our devices, reduce health system costs and produce value products. Currently, we create smart, people-centered healthcare devices to help the professionals working hard to overcome this crisis.

-GENERAL SUMMARY:

The CovTech-Ventilation System is a compact ventilation system for PPE suits. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, doctors, health care professionals and other critical service providers have to wear thick PPE suits for long hours which leads to the development of enormous amounts of sweat and bacteria hence causing discomfort and increases risk of fungal infection. This device is specifically designed as a solution to this problem.
