Hi all,
inspired by @BW post @PH and myself @PD have been working to enhance the Brazil faceshield design (by @VP).
Changes we have done are :
to be able to use standard A4 or A3 transparent shields ( I have used 0.3 mm thickness) we have adjusted the size and the position of the plastic pins in such a way that he shield can be easily home produced with a standard hole puncher for paper ( hole puncher I use is Leitz 5008 : distance between holes = 80mm, distance to edge = 11mm, diameter = 5.5 mm, see pic). The outer 2 holes centers should be punched at 28.5 mm from the border. If you have a 4 hole puncher it is even easier.
Inspired by the sneeze Flow Simulation post we added the printable files for a clip-on top. This part does not only protect better but it keeps the transparent shield better in place.
The clip-on-top comes with extra stiffener ribs and prints well with minimal supports (printing took 2.5 hours, white PLA, Craftbot II). On a bed of 25 x 20 you can print both parts in one go.
Happy printing to you all and keep safe.
