IDX Crown Menu Customisation issue

Can someone explain to me why when I customise the crown menu that after exiting the Settings menu the actual crown menu is incorrect? I am using 3DXP 2023X-FD02 I have OmniCurve at 12 o'clock position in LMB definition. And OmniCurveBlend at 6 o'clock. If now press "c" for crown menu OmniCurve is at 6 o'clock position and OmniCurveBlend at 12 o'clock?

Study on tufted geometry

the goal is to understand how leather material will be perceived on a seat tufted surface with a diamond pattern. the input is a subdivision surface we could make a try with displacement mapping of a black and white picture. but it will be difficult to make variations and fine tune of the pattern and tuft. Also, the 3dxml is shared at the bottom of the post, for details - you need a licence with CATIA Visual Scripting app to open the model though. the overall logic is input the subdiv surface

I started to touch new function: "iso surface mesh". Here is a model about surface of equipotential between 2 points. the video is moving the points away. I have not calibrated the values to fit to any object. but if you calibrate it well, it corresponds to modelization of an equipotential of a dipole. I wish I had GGR/Xgen when I was a student... "iso surface mesh" is a world to explore in itself!

Really liking the new snap options in 2025X as it makes selection so much more easy. One wish I would like is to change the crown menu activation to be the spacebar - so it is the same as in ICEM Surf and is easier to hit without looking at the keyboard - somehow hot switch (shift+TAB?) between Crown Menus. I built an Extras section to add in all the ISD functions I require, but I would also like to add them to the 2nd crown menu slot. Just a quick example for the request: Also why doesn't

Wish request for ICEM Shape Design Frames

I have this operation request for IDX: I would like to be able to create Variants in Frames for the hide/show states, so I could use Frames as a pseudo Reference Manager. Nearly all the functions in IDX have Variants creation, such as OmniFillet: Is it also possible to add Frames/Display Lists to both Crown menu and keyboard as a shortcut, so I could assign 1 to Frame 1, 2 to Frame 2 etc. This would help in review situations or when comparing variants.

Selection in ICEM Design Experience 2025X-FD03

Hi, is it just me but in IDX 2025X-FD03 the selection using Ctrl key is reversed compared to the STEP 4 help. Ctrl + Left mouse button does window drag; Ctrl + Middle mouse button does trace select. Standard CATIA Rotation, Pan and Zoom are working so the buttons aren't reversed. All other menus such as Crown, Alt, Alt+Ctrl are fine too.

Surface checks

Question for the community hive mind. Regarding checking the quality of surfaces. Does your organisation have a different set of required tolerances (G0, G1, G2 etc) for a Concept Release (Styling Concept) versus a Final Surface Release? Without breaking confidentiality, can you share what those tolerances are? And Whose responsibility is it to check the surfaces comply with those requirements? Is it possible to export from icem to alias/catia and not die trying?

Hello everyone! We're having a little problem exporting files. We need to export files from Surf so they can be opened in Alias, but without losing editing capabilities. So far, the only format that's worked for us has been EDF, but the problem is that the names of the different lists that group the surfaces are modified (it shortens them). A colleague suggested using the option to export as Catia v5, but when I try to do so, oops! This window appears. Any help is appreciated, thanks in

DEMO Tokamak CATIA Files

Hi, I am a physicist working with my company www.generalphysicscorp.com. I want the DEMO CATIA files for all the parts of the tokamak. Heat exchange, cryogenics, steam cycle generation, breeding blanket, magnets, NBI, ECRF, and the building. I need the part files and the assemblies. I need to start manufacturing. I do CNC, G code, additive manufacturing, and then I plan to simulate neutron flux in a CATIA MOOSE program. I appreciate anyone who knows the CATIA designs.
