Weldments for Non-Welded Structures - IC694049

Use Weldment tools within SOLIDWORKS to rapidly create frames built from aluminum extrusions, such as 80/20, Bosch and other "cut-to-length" brands. These types of frames often provide faster construction and flexibility compared to traditionally welded frames. This session will discuss • Creating and simplifying profiles for performance, flexibility and ease of use (this will include macros to help simplify profiles) • Organizing your library with single and configured profiles • Layouts created from 2D and 3D Sketches to create your frame • Incorporating non-structural members such as plates and fasteners • Documentation of frames, standard views, component (piece part) views, cut lists • Overview of Weldments within SOLIDWORKS PDM
