Want to automate with the SOLIDWORKS API but aren't sure where to start? As Keith walks you through the creation of a powerful macro from scratch, you'll learn about the three foundational skills of SOLIDWORKS API programming and what resources can help you achieve proficiency. In depth description: I walk the attendees through the creation of a simple macro that adds a configuration to a part and configures a hole wizard hole's diameter. Then I create a user form by which the user could control the diameter. In doing so, I demonstrate how to use the macro recorder and API Help. I briefly cover topics like VBA programming and the API Object Model. I have presented this several times in the past at SWW and have received average scores as high as 4.6/5.0.
