Using SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional, Chris will break down each step of the process for importing a SOLIDWORKS motion study and animating cameras, lights, environments and appearances. It may sound like a lot, but you’ll see that there is a pattern to the process of animation. The tips and tricks covered in this short presentation will demonstrate how fast and easy it is to produce an animation that is sure to impress. Whether it is for an internal design review or advertisement, high-quality animations will make a world of difference when conveying your designs.

Chris has a degree in mechanical engineering and is currently a Senior Design Engineer at BOYD Corporation in Woburn, MA, where he designs custom heat exchangers for aerospace applications. He is also the Vice President of BostonSWUG, has participated in 8 Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS conferences and delivered 12 conference presentations to date. Prior to his position at BOYD, Chris spent over 8 years working in Boston as an Application Engineer in the SOLIDWORKS VAR Channel. In his time there, Chris earned numerous certifications and awards as well as frequently volunteering as a presenter for local user groups. Chris earned his CSWE in 2015 and went on to be awarded the title of Elite Application Engineer, which requires over 35 SOLIDWORKS certifications. He is recognized as an industry expert in rendering and animation and known for his passion for making CAD beautiful. At the end of the day, Chris is just another SOLIDWORKS user finding every way to stay involved with the community he loves.
