For all the Clients who are in your 0% activation list, the Action Plan will have 3 steps:

  1. ๐Ÿ“ง Low-engagement - send an email to all the Admins to ask them to activate
  2. ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Monitor the activation of these clients
  3. ๐Ÿ“ž For the Clients who haven't activated following your email, by the deadline you gave them, you will need to engage directly with each of them.

๐Ÿ“ง Action 1: Low-Engagementย 

Send an email to the Admin for tenant activation

We recommend you draft an email that will give reasons for the Admin to want to activate. Explaining the value of Cloud Services, and/or - if it's a strategy that you are endorsing - explaining that you provide some services through the platform now (support, resources, training material...) and that activation is required to access these.

This email should give them all the information they need to self-activate (including their own Tenant Activation link ๐Ÿ”—), set a deadline ๐Ÿ“† (which will make it easier for you to follow up later), and finally offer activation support (for example, a link to book a 10-min call ๐Ÿ“ž).

Email content suggestions:

  • โ“ Why should they activate: for example "You're missing out on some new SOLIDWORKS features" or "Access your Support Dashboard on your 3DEXPERIENCE platform"

  • ๐Ÿ”— Call for action -> Add a button clearly calling for action with your Client's Tenant Activation link
  • ๐Ÿ“† Timeline expectations (for example: within a week)
  • ๐Ÿ“ž Need support? -> Schedule a call

How to find admin details

Instructions:

  1. From the Cloud Adoption Dashboard click on the Client's name. This will open a new tab with DSx.Client
  2. In DSx.Client, click on the Cloud IB tab. The accepted online status, date and contact is shown for the online instance

๐Ÿ”— How to retrieve the Tenant Activation link (๐Ÿ†• directly from the Cloud Adoption Dashboard now!)

Instructions:

  1. From the Cloud Adoption Dashboard go to the Cloud Usage tab
  2. Click the 3 dots menu at the top right of the grid view
  3. From Configure Columns select Activation Link
  4. Copy the Activation Link and send it to the Client

๐Ÿ’ก Suggestion: in exporting the table as a CSV, you could automate the sending of these emails as a batch.

Instructions:

  1. From the Cloud Adoption Dashboard go to the Cloud Usage tab
  2. Click the 3 dots menu at the top right of the grid view
  3. Select Export CSV to 3DDrive
  4. From 3DDrive, browse to the Exported Tables folder
  5. Download the latest CSV file

For those who haven't activated by the deadline -> Call

๐Ÿ“† For the clients who haven't activated by the deadline you gave them, you should engage directly with them.

How to prepare for the call:

Script content suggestions:

  • Introduction: "Did you receive our email? (...) Can I help you now?
  • โฒ๏ธ It will only take ... minutes
  • โ“ Give them reasons why they should go through the Activation now: for example "You're missing out on some new SOLIDWORKS features" or "Access your Support Dashboard on your 3DEXPERIENCE platform"
  • ๐Ÿ”— Be ready to provide them with their Tenant Activation link
  • Once your Admin has activated, if there is more than one user, you can also offer to support them in assigning roles to their colleagues and helping them to activate (see this page for supporting Users' Activation action plan)

๐Ÿ”Search for a specific client (by name)

Instructions:

  1. From the Cloud Adoption Dashboard go to the Cloud Usage tab
  2. Type the Client name into the search area to filter the grid view

Find the admin user information

Instructions:

  1. From the Cloud Adoption Dashboard click on the Client's name. This will open a new tab with DSx.Client
  2. In DSx.Client, click on the Cloud IB tab. The accepted online status, date and contact is shown for the online instance
