Session Abstract

Have you ever seen a cow with sunglasses chilling at the beach? Probably not, but you’ll be sure to see them chilling in a barn designed by Seneca Dairy Systems. These barns are equipped with a well-designed ventilation system that uses cutting-edge Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Technology on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This session will demonstrate the simplicity of building designs in SOLIDWORKS and transitioning to a Fluid Dynamics Engineer role to optimize parameters such as the number of fans and fan speed. The key benefit of this approach is the ease with which it enables mass customization of ventilation designs for Seneca’s customers. After all, ensuring cow comfort will guarantee increased milk production and more comfortable cows.
