Session Abstract
NCE (Núcleo de Cálculos Especiais), a Brazilian CAE firm with 49+ years and 400,000+ analysis hours, applied SIMULIA Abaqus to the MLBR rocket launch structure developed by Cenic Engenharia for the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB). The objective was to establish a unified FEA framework capable of accurately predicting structural durability and static/dynamic response under real load conditions. The methodology integrated nonlinear static analysis, transient dynamic simulations, and correlation with proprietary sensor data to reproduce operational environments. Preliminary results delivered high-fidelity stress predictions, early identification of durability issues, and design optimization, reducing the need for physical prototypes and accelerating validation. Supported by SKA, this project demonstrates the strategic value of Abaqus Unified FEA in mitigating design risk and enabling efficient, cost-effective development of aerospace structures.
