Integrating 3DEXPERIENCE in a SOLIDWORKS Classroom - IC688218

Last school year Cherokee Trail High School started using 3DEXPERIENCE in their established SOLIDWORKS program. In this session, teachers from Cherokee Trail will share lessons learned, and best practices. Presentation topics will include the following: General information on setting up accounts for students, and factors to consider with file management. New and easier tools are available in 3DEXPERIENCE compared to SOLIDWORKS. Challenges that students and teachers encountered.  The functional differences between SOLIDWORKS and xDesign in the classroom. Using the SOLIDWORKS Connector with 3DEXPERIENCE.  More student certification opportunities.

Jared Merrill

Teacher, Cherokee Trail High School

Jared Merrill has spent the last 12 years in Engineering and Technology Education. He earned a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Technology and Engineering Education from Brigham Young University, and has taught students from 6th grade up to 12th grade in public schools in Utah and Colorado. He teaches a wide range of courses, including Manufacturing Production, IB Design Technology and Robotics, utilizing SOLIDWORKS in most of his classes.

Ben Nuebel

Teacher, Cherokee Trail High School.

Ben Nuebel is an Engineering Technologies teacher at Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora Colorado. Ben has 20 years of experience teaching computer aided design and fabrication. This included 13 years of teaching SOLIDWORKS. Ben earned a B.S. in Industrial and Technology study from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, and an M.Ed in Technology Education from the California University of Pennsylvania. Ben’s SOLIDWORKS certifications include: CSWA-MD, CSWA-AM, CSWP-MD, CSWPA-SU, CSWPA-WD, CSWPA-DT, CSWPA-SM, SOLIDWORKS Accredited Educator, 3DEXPERIENCE Collaborative Business Innovator, 3DEXPERIENCE 3D Creator, and a CSWE-MD.

Anthony Muscatello

Engineering and Computer Science Teacher, Cherokee Trail High School

Schooled in Aurora Colorado with 15 years of teaching experience. At Cherokee Trail, Tony has had the opportunity to teach multiple courses including Engineering, Architecture, Medical/Sustainable Engineering and CAD where SOLIDWORKS is the foundation. Tony also has students working to earn their CSWA’s and CSWP’s along with their Revit certifications throughout the year.
