Session Abstract

The bicycle industry pushes design and engineering to the edge: ever-lighter frames, advanced materials like aluminum and carbon fiber, and components that must endure harsher use. Caloi, Brazil’s leading bicycle maker, pairs rigorous lab testing with high-fidelity simulation to deliver ride performance, impact resistance, and durability. This session showcases end-to-end simulation workflows—static loading, impact, and fatigue—that shorten development by reducing physical prototypes while preserving lightweight, robust designs. Participants will learn to build models that mirror real-world conditions, see how virtual validation complements the lab, and leverage cloud resources for complex studies—enabling faster decisions and bicycles that are innovative, dependable, and road-ready.
