Session Abstract
Student engineering competitions like Formula Student, EVER Egypt, and Shell Eco-marathon push teams to deliver innovative vehicle designs under strict constraints of cost, time, and performance. This session demonstrates how SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS Simulation can streamline the complete workflow, including concept design, assembly management, FEA, and optimization, helping teams reduce design iterations by up to 30% and improve performance validation before manufacturing. Drawing from the PSU Racing Team’s award-winning results (Top 2 in EVER Egypt 2025 with a perfect 150/150 Engineering Design score), we will share best practices that combine CAD, simulation, and project management skills. Attendees will learn how to integrate SOLIDWORKS into student projects or classrooms to boost collaboration, accelerate development, and prepare teams for competition success. Pre-requisites: Basic SOLIDWORKS knowledge (CSWA-level or 6+ months experience).
