Collaborating With Suppliers Using 3DEXPERIENCE and SOLIDWORKS - PBBP688729

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform provides a powerful suite of tools that enables companies using SOLIDWORKS to efficiently manage their product development process. For many businesses a key part of designing and manufacturing any product will involve having to share files with external stakeholders. In this session you will learn how product development teams using 3DEXPERIENCE and SOLIDWORKS can easily share files and collaborate with external design partners and suppliers. The use cases discussed will cover common scenarios that range from generating a package of released files for manufacture, to joint collaboration on a SOLIDWORKS design with an external design partner that isn’t using 3DEXPERIENCE, and importantly how any modifications made to the design can be reviewed and merged back into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Mark has been a member of the SOLIDWORKS team for 8 years, and over the past 3 years Mark has been focusing on articulating the value of the 3DEXPERIENCE cloud platform to the partner and customer communities worldwide. Mark’s current role is focused on supporting 3DEXPERIENCE customer adoption which includes developing 3DEXPERIENCE and SOLIDWORKS best practices for customers. Mark has wealth of experience in CAD/CAM/PLM, first working as a technical consultant at a UK SOLIDWORKS reseller for over ten years, and then later at SIEMENS where he worked with major aerospace, automotive and marine companies throughout Europe.
