📈 Action Plan for Improving Your Activation Rate

This document is to help you increase your Activation Rate and ensure your clients have access to the Value provided by Cloud Services. This is also intended to help you meet your Partner Alignment Program target of 70%.

This process can be seen as an extension of the Adoption Guide with a focus on Activation. The Adoption Guide recommendations are still highly relevant and should be followed in addition to this.

SOW4P and Cloud Adoption Access

Before you start, you must be enrolled into Scope of Work for Partner, and have access to the Cloud Adoption Dashboard, here is a link to the Cloud Adoption Dashboard wiki.

See this FAQ for getting access to the Cloud Adoption Dashboard.

If you have questions, review the previous questions in the Questions section of the Adoption Dashboard community, and if it hasn't been asked previously, please ask now.

If you have suggestions, feel free to share them!

How to check your own Activation Rate

Open the "Cloud Usage" tab on your Cloud Adoption Dashboard and use the "CRE Activation Rate KPI" filter which allows you to restrict the list of lines (clients/license type) to the ones that participate in the KPIs calculation.

Alternatively, you can create your own Dashboard so that your customer filters are remembered across sessions.

Prioritizing Activation Methods

When we look at the WW repartitions of clients based on their activation, there are two bigger (by a large margin) columns: 100% and 0% activation.

Now, let's run a simulation with the Client numbers at the time of writing this document (October 2023): what happens to the WW Activation Rate if all tenants are activated? The WW activation rate goes from 57.7% to 74%!

We ran this simulation for various GEOs and Partners, and in most cases, their Activation Rate would jump above the 70% target!

And that is why we make Tenant Activation Priority #1 to meet your Activation Rate target of 70%.

It should be your #1 Priority in order to reduce the number of Clients who are at 0% activation.

What we recommend is for you to reach out to the Admin of all these Clients who are at 0% Activation and guide them through their tenant activation. The goal is to get their tenant activated.

The following WIKI pages will detail the Action Plan to reach out to these Admins and show you fully detailed instructions to find all the data you will need for this Action Plan.

We will focus on Cloud Services clients as they represent 85% of non-activated clients WW.
