3DEXPERIENCE Works is a portfolio of cloud solutions that bring all your key stakeholders together on a single collaborative platform, allowing you to seamlessly move from ideation through delivery for continuous development.

The 3DCompass
The 3DCompass is the starting place for all of the 3DEXPERIENCE. Clicking on the Play button or any of the four quadrants of the 3DCompass reveal various applications (apps) associated with your roles.

The 3DDashboard
3DDashboard is an app that provides a holistic view on any topic or activity, gathering content from various sources. It is made of tabs, each tab containing apps. Dashboards are associated with the Platform Manager Role in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

A Dashboard can be thought of as a cloud hosted, customizable and sharable repository for your 3DEXPERIENCE tools.

Roles
There are two types of Roles in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform; those at the platform level and within products and apps. Platform Roles define the permissions, abilities and applications available to a 3DEXPERIENCE user, such as the aforementioned Platform Manager role or access to 3D Shape.

Furthermore, products and apps also have Roles. These can allow granular management of what users are able to do within the product or app, such as the ability to edit content in 3DSwym or assign tasks within ENOVIA’s Project Planning.

Apps
Ranging from the simple (text editor or calculator) to the powerful (3D rendering or structural simulations), apps are the tools you will use in your work environment.

3DDrive
A cloud-based storage space, this app allows users to preview, navigate and share files and 3D content with other members for review and collaboration.
