- Simplify the decision-making and definition of downstream actions for interference occurring through storing and displaying interference events in a well-arranged way.
- Improve model setup efficiency and robustness by storing mechanism states from the kinematics player and applying them to the model as needed. For instance, studying a landing gear from stowed or from deployed initial situation.
User Experience
[NEW] Mechanical State Sets ⭐
Description: Ability to store and apply the state of a mechanism in the new State Set element supported in Kinematics Player.
Benefit: Improve model setup efficiency and robustness by storing mechanism states from the Kinematics Player and applying them to the model as needed. For instance, studying a landing gear, from stowed or from a deployed initial situation.
Results Reporting
[NEW] Interference Results Report ⭐
Description: Provides a collision report table that allows users to change the transparency of non-colliding objects to clearly display colliding objects at collision time.
Benefit: Simplify the decision-making and definition of downstream actions for interference occurring through storing and displaying interference events in a well-arranged way.
Motion Setup
[ENHANCED] Body Mass Properties: Optionally Neglect Reference Product
Description: For rigid body elements, easily control the source of mass properties from reference product and attached products. Supporting options include:
All products with a mass: From reference product and attached products with active ‘Consider Mass’ option.
Only reference product: Only from reference product; ignore attached products.
Attached products with a mass: Only from attached products with active ‘Consider Mass’ option; ignore reference product.
Override mass property values: Override the mass properties manually.
Benefit: Flexibly adapt mechanism mass properties source, e.g. when going from concept geometry to detailed design.
[NEW] Damper Motion Element ⭐
Description: New Machine Element Damper provides linear damping force proportional to absolute velocity. The damping is independent of position and its direction is the same as the velocity direction.
Benefit: Account for damping effects in the mechanical system through damper elements or consider implicit system damping.
