The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down schools worldwide. As a result, education has changed significantly with the rise of digital learning, as classes are being held online and remotely. However, it is difficult for students to get full learning experience online. During the pandemic, Russel taught a manufacturing processes course at the National University of Singapore to more than 400 students remotely. He used Augmented Reality (AR) to help the students visualize objects that he would usually bring to the traditional classroom. During this session, Russel will share his experience on using AR to enhance the remote learning experience. This session will also help educators learn how they can use the AR technology in the digital classroom, and how educators can use SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS Visualize to prepare models for AR.
