1238 - CFD Using Fluid Dynamics Engineer, Flow Simulation, and SIMULIA® XFlow

Dassault Systèmes has a variety of solutions for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In this presentation, we will review three solutions currently available to the CRE channel, namely the Fluid Dynamics Engineer role as part of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, Flow Simulation and its Electronic Cooling and HVAC add-ons integrated in the SOLIDWORKS CAD desktop and the XFlow solution for highly transient problems. The application is focused on aerodynamics.

We will talk about the similarities and differences between these three solutions and the advantages of each. They include the underlying technologies of Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) versus Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM), benefits of the platform versus standalone solution, and other aspects of CFD in solutions offered by SOLIDWORKS and SIMULIA.
