This session will explore powerful features of SOLIDWORKS Manage that many users are unaware of. We'll go through a journey of creating a record, an Engineering Change Order directly from… yes, Microsoft Outlook, with dropdown selections that will be narrowed down for specific departments that will be automatically assign tasks. The Bill of Material will be generated from an Excel Import and, once the Engineering Change gets approved, an automatic report will be generated and sent to an outside source – a vendor or a customer. Files from the PDM Vault can also be shared to increase collaboration and visibility throughout the Change process. We'll also take a look how we can configure the user interface for needed information, eliminating confusion and clutter. Finally, we will close with best practices for maintenance and backup to ensure your environment runs like a well oiled machine!
