In this industry lecture we will describe a real-world 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation implementation for heavy equipment for underground mining drilling equipment. We will present an optimized design and simulation workflow where different types of studies need to be involved, such as nonlinear static, explicit dynamics, and fatigue. One of the key aspects is the integration between SOLIDWORKS CAD and 3DEXPERIENCE Works Simulation in order to leverage the power of SIMULIA analysis capabilities and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for managing data. Finally, we will cover FOPS and ROPS standard coverage for safety certifications reviewing the main capabilities used for analyzing these types of problems.
