One of the major barriers of learning anything is the first few steps. Once the initial hurdles are overcome, the confidence is built up and the appetite for further exploration grows.
This is why Product Communicator comes with a dashboard by default, and a dedicated tab called "Get Started" as shown below.🌄
I'd highly recommend following these hand-holding resources to quickly orient yourself, such as the overview video, main workflows, UI elements, terminologies. These can save you tons of time.
Once the basic framework is established, I'd like to call your attention to the tile at the bottom right, "Download more assets".
Out of the box, you'll find 41 Covering Materials and 21 Ambiences which are all free and professional to up your game of communication. You can simply download and upload them to your 3D Space.
To make them easily accessible, what I personally prefer is to create a new tab "Materials and Ambiences" on the Product Communicator dashboard. Then use Bookmark Editor to organize them below in your 3D Space.
All of them look intuitive at one glance. The best perk is that you can easily drag and drop one material from this tab to the xStudio tab. Then this material will be included in your xStudio production. If a part is already selected before the Drag and drop, this material will be applied to the selected part directly. If nothing is selected, then this part is simply listed on the Material tree, ready to be applied.
The same Drag/Drop across tabs applies to Ambiences too.
As you may have noticed, my dashboard holds multiple tabs such as xHighlight, xDesign, 3D Drive, 3D Space and so on. Try it out and you'll love the easy drag and drop too😀
That's it to get started. A piece of cake, right?
Looking forward to your cool visual creations!
