How

• You can now create and manage Vendor Items in the ‘Supplier Item Qualification’ application

• A new tab ‘ Vendor Items’ is introduced in the ‘Manufacturer Equivalent Item’ (MEI) details page, which allows you to:

  • View all Vendor Items (VI) associated with the MEI.

  • Create a new VI associated with the MEI

  • Delete associated VI

  • Open the information panel of a selected VI

Improve tracking of purchasing references through Vendor Item Qualification

How

• You can now create and manage Manufacturing Equivalent Qualification between a Vendor Item (VI) and a Manufacturing Item (MI), using one of the following ways:

  • ‘Manufacturer Equivalent Items’ page -> MEI Details page -> Vendor Items tab -> Vendor Item Information Panel -> Qualification tab

    

     

  • ‘My Manufacturing Item Context’ page -> MI Details page

How

•You can now create multiple Equivalent Qualification between the same Engineering Item (EI) or Manufacturing Item (MI) and the same Manufacturing Equivalent Item (MEI) by adding Context Restriction.

•The system supports now Equivalent Qualifications with a unique combination of:

•Target

•Context

•And Context Restriction - limits the qualification of equivalent items to specific contexts.

•The Context Restriction can be:

•Project Space

•Team Project

•Model Version

•Model

•Plant

•Physical Product

Why

Save time and improve efficiency by converting Engineering Item into Manufacturer Equivalent Item

How

•You can now create a new Manufacturer Equivalent Item (MEI) from an existing Engineering Item (EI) in ‘Supplier Item Qualification’ application.

•This new command is available in the toolbar -> ‘Add’ menu of the ‘Manufacturer Equivalent Items’ page

 

•When creating MEI from EI, the system converts the EI into MEI
