Progress line in Project Planning

Why

Improve tracking of the project progress by displaying the Progress Line in schedule view.

How

•A new option, ‘Progress Line’, was added to the ‘Display Preferences’ menu, allows you to show or hide the Project Progress Line in the Schedule View.

•The Progress Line is displayed in red and shows the advancement of tasks that are ‘In Work’ state.

•Using the Progress Line, you can easily identify whether tasks are behind, ahead, or on schedule.

 

 

Average Velocity Support in Agile Project

Why

Facilitate resource planning of Agile Projects by automatically predicting the capacity of new iterations

How

•"Velocity" is the sum of all story points defined across all completed story tasks in a completed iteration.

•When you create a new iteration, the system calculates the average number of all ‘velocities’ over all completed iterations, and displays this value as the new iteration’s default story points capacity value.

 

 

User Interface Improvements

Why

Enhance productivity with improved user experience

How

Maturity State:

For Agile projects, a new drop down menu is introduced on the iteration level in the Iterations tab, which allows you to change the maturity state of the iteration directly from the Iterations tab.

The options displayed depend on the current iteration state.

 

‘No Assignee’ Tag in 6WTags for Project Planning Tasks:

A new tagger ‘No Assignee’ is introduced under the Who -> Assignee category in 6WTags, 
which allows you to filter the list of tasks, and display only tasks with no assignee.

 

Support Checklists in Project Planning

Why

Improve clarify and avoid mistakes through checklists on project’s items

How

A new tab ‘Checklist’, is added to the information panel, which lets you create checklists and respond to checklist items.

 

The checklist tab is available for the following projects’ items:

•Projects

•Tasks

•Milestones

•Gates

 

Add external URL as Attachments or Deliverables

Why

Enrich project information by supporting external links as attachments and deliverables

How

  • A new command, ‘Add Link’, is introduced for Project Planner entities in their ‘Information Panel’,  which allows you to add external URL as attachment or deliverable.

  • This type of attachment is marked as favorites with a blue star icon to distinguish it from standard attachments.

  • Using the drop down Menu, you can open the link by selecting the ‘Open Link’ command.
