Why

Improve time and effort required to export projects by grouping related projects and export them together

How

•You can now export multiple projects to a zip file, by selecting multiple projects and use the ‘Export’ command available in the ‘Actions’ menu.

•This is available for :

•Selected program -> Projects page

•Project section -> Projects page

•The zip file which includes all projects will be downloaded and also sent to the log in user via email.

Note: Subprojects are not exported.

Why

Improve efficiency by providing more information about the Flexible Links in the Flexible Links view, such as the governed project

How

•The ‘Passive Tasks’ view is renamed to ‘Flexible Links’

•The “Add Passive Project/Task” command is renamed to “Add Flexible Links”

•A new column, ‘Flexible Links Project’, is introduced in the ‘Flexible Links’ view, displaying the hyperlinked project that governs the flexible links tasks, and available in both applications:

•Project Management application

•Project Gantt widget

Why

Enrich Risks and Opportunities information by supporting external links as attachments

How

•A new command, ‘Add Link’, is introduced for Risks and Opportunities in their respective ‘Information Panel’-> ‘Related Content’ tab,  which allows you to add external URL as attachment.

•This type of attachment is marked as favorites with a blue star icon to distinguish it from standard attachments.

•Using the Attachments Menu, you can open the link by selecting the ‘Go To Link’ command

Why

Improve reuse by linking instead of copying documents, when revising a project template

How

•A new setting ‘Link, rather than copy, documents when revising the project template‘ is now introduced and available in the ‘Collaborative Spaces Configuration Center‘ widget under Project Management -> Project Template Behaviors section.

•It allows you to connect existing bookmark documents from previous project template to a newly revised one.

•By default, the setting is unchecked, which means that when revising a project template, the documents are copied and not linked.

How

•The ‘Repeat’ checkbox is now available in Schedule tab when creating new project items to keep dialog open after creation.

•The Schedule view is automatically expanded to the same structure as it was before. 
This applies when you return to the Schedule View from a different view or  change the filter.

Why

Identify major milestones and gates quicker by applying a distinctive icon for selected milestone or gate.

How

•You can apply an icon for a selected milestone or gate in the Gantt view.

•A new Category ‘Sharing’ is added to Project Template, that allows you to share the Project Template with:

•Individual Members

•Use Groups

•The users added to the template, have Reader access to the template.

Minimize potential misuse by controlling assignees access.

How

•New setting, ‘Restrict Assignee Access’ is now available on project level in Project Preferences in both applications:

•Project Management

•Project Gantt

•The setting is used to define the task assignee privileges. And can have one of the following values:

•No is the default value set for newly created projects.
The task assignee can edit all task information except changing the owner.

•Yes The task assignee has limited modification access, and can edit only the following fields:

•Maturity State

•Percent Complete

•Deliverables

•Attachments

•Estimated End Date/Start Date

•Estimated Duration
