Why

Enrich Engineering Item definition with new types of documents

How

You can now add controlled documents to the Engineering Item, as Attachments and/or Specifications.

All types of Controlled Documents are allowed to be added, except of:

• Controlled Document Template

• Rendition Document Template

   

The following commands have been removed when you right-mouse click the Document:

• New Branch
• New Revision From

Note:

• Controlled documents are created using the role "Quality Document Author (QUC)"

How

New commands are now available:

Insert Duplicate:

Allows you to perform the following actions in one shot:

• Duplicate an existing Item

• Insert the newly duplicated item as a child

Replace By Duplicate:

Allows you to perform the following in one shot:

• Duplicate existing item

• Replace existing item with the newly duplicated one

Why

Protect the instances/references you are working on from being modified by other users

You can now lock or unlock Engineering Items (references / instances) using the new icons:
