Improved accuracy of product configuration by using option groups in matrix rule definition

How

• You can now use Option Groups and Options as a Driving Criteria while defining Matrix Rule. Before this enhancement, only Variants were supported for matrix rule definition.

• This ensures faster and more accurate configurations when you have a complex variability containing several option groups.

Why

Save time and reduce variability complexity by creating Base Configurations for a specific set of Product Configurations.

How

• You can now create a Base Configuration to reduce the variability complexity and save time while defining product configuration. The option to create a new Base Configuration is available in the Configuration tab.

• It allows you to define the availability of the Variant Values and Options from the total variability defined for the model version. Due to this, when you create Product Configurations based on the Base Configuration, only relevant variability needs to be defined to complete the definition.

Why

Improve productivity and accuracy by carrying-over and revising the required Base configurations from existing Model Version.

How

• You can now carry over and revise the Base Configurations from the existing Model Version.

• The "Carry over and close" option is now renamed to “Add from Existing”. This option is available in the Model Version ID card menu.

• It allows you to select the existing model version and select the required Base Configurations and Product Configurations. The new revision of the selected Base and Product Configurations is created in the target model version that you can reuse and update as requited.
