 Product Roadmap Management

Why
Easily plan the product roadmap by scheduling requirements based on their Value-Effort or RICE score

How
The new “Roadmap” tab is now provided in the information panel of the model definition. This tab shows the following two segments:

  • Committed: Requirements that are assigned to the opened model version
  • Backlog: Outstanding requirements that are not assigned to any model version

You can select the “Full View” option to get a complete view of the outstanding requirements and committed requirements and their associated model version. The following two scoring modes are provided that lets you prioritize requirement based on the result:

  • Value-Effort Criteria: The score for this criteria is calculated based on the following two variables.
    • Value: You can assign value in the range of 1-5 to represent the value of delivering this requirement
    • Effort: You can assign value in the range of 1-5 to represent the overall efforts and cost associated with the requirement
  • RICE Criteria: The score for this criteria is calculated based on following four variables.
    • Reach: Assign number that represents the number of people or events affected by this requirement
    • Impact: Assign the value in between 3-0.25. where 3 is the highest impact and 0.25 is the lowest impact.
    • Confidence: Assign the value in between 1-100 where 1 is the least confidence and 100 indicates the maximum confidence
    • Effort: Assign the value to represent the overall efforts and cost associated with the requirement.

 Creating and Managing Units

Why
Easily plan and track build dates, ship dates of your product orders by creating and managing units

How
The new “My Units” option is now provided in the welcome panel of the Model Definition app.

This page shows you list of existing units and their details. You can create units and associate it with the Model Version, Product Configuration, and Manufacturing Plan. Each unit has a unique serial number. If required, you can also update the serial number manually.

After effectivity mapping, you can resolve your 150% engineering and manufacturing definition based on units.
