Downward Compatibility Support While Exporting Hybrid Structures
Why Improve efficiency when working with hybrid product structures in a downward compatibility mode.
How You can convert and export hybrid product structures in a downward compatibility mode. This hybrid structure can be a combination of 3DEXPERIENCE data and Power’By X-CAD data. This is supported when the hybrid data is created or assembled in the 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA. For a hybrid product structures data containing CATIA Power’By data, one of the following exchange quality selected by the user is considered: As Result: Geometry remains view only i.e. non-editable. As Spec: Geometry is editable For xCAD PowerBy Data, exchange quality is automatically set to “As Result” mode.

How

You can convert and export hybrid product structures in a downward compatibility mode. This hybrid structure can be a combination of 3DEXPERIENCE data and Power’By X-CAD data. This is supported when the hybrid data is created or assembled in the 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA.
For a hybrid product structures data containing CATIA Power’By data, one of the following exchange quality selected by the user is considered:
- As Result: Geometry remains view only i.e. non-editable.
- As Spec: Geometry is editable
For xCAD PowerBy Data, exchange quality is automatically set to “As Result” mode.
