Determine Non-Recurring Costs at the Project Level |
|---|
Why Improved accuracy for the non-recurring cost definition thanks to its definition at project level |
How Before this enhancement, a non-recurring cost was defined for a part. This means, if the same part is used in different assemblies, it used to carry the same non-recurring cost. For example, managing non-recurring costs for auxiliary items like equipment and tooling was challenging because these costs were only accounted for once per program and per part.
- You can now determine non-recurring costs within the project's context. This means, any creation, or update to the non-recurring cost must be carried out under a Project context.
- This ensures that cost managers obtain accurate rollup values for the Non-Recurring Cost category
- You can use the Business Value Definition or Business Target Definition to assign a project to your product structure.
Note: - On-Cloud: Projects from the Project Planning app are supported as a project context.
- On-Premise: Projects from the Program Management app are supported as a project context.
