Track changes made on documents

How

•You can now use the Work Under a Change Action for Documents.

•The admin setting “Enable Work Under”  should be selected (Document Management à Work Under Configuration: Enable Work Under):

•The “Change Required should be turned on for the document.

•The following actions will be captured when working under a Change Action for a Document:

•Change Status(Promote/Demote)

•Properties Modification

•Revise

•Document Creation

•Document Deletion

•File add, delete, modify.

•The changes captured by the Change Action are available in the “Realized Changes”

Why

Improved product structure navigation experience by organizing product definition using browsing structure nodes

How

• You can now assign Engineering Items to predefined nodes (*) and display them in groups that reflect these assignments.

• This facilitates the navigation of your Engineering Definition. A new command “Manage Browsing Structure Definition” is available now, to enable you to:

  • Group Engineering Items by a Browsing Structure

  • Add the selected Item(s) to a Browsing Node.

  • Review an existing assignment, and modify it (adding / remove nodes).

Notes:

• Browsing Structures and Browsing Nodes are created with “ENOVIA - Browsing Structure Definition” App (Role: CCM - Classification Manager)

• The Browsing Structure must be released to be able to use its nodes in the association with the Engineering Item.

Why

Improved traceability for product instances by identifying related objects in the Relations app

How

• Viewing relations of a specific Product Instance to identify its related objects is now supported. Example: You can find Relations of the product instance added in the Change Affected Item.

• This can be achieved by the following two methods:

  • Drag and drop the product instance in the Relations app or select the Relations option from the context menu.

  • Select Instance and open the Relations tab in the Information panel.

• You can view the following types of Relations for the selected Product Instance:

  • V6 Design Relations:

    • "Representation of" / "Representations"

    • "Parents" / "Children"

  • RLF Relations:

    • "Is Implemented by" / "Is Implementing"

  • Fastener Relations:

    • "Parent" / "Children"

  • Model Definition Relations:

    • "Product Configuration Used By Instance"

•The supported fields are:

•Title

•Percent Complete

Improve productivity by uploading files into the document during its creation.

How  

•A new tab ‘Files’ is introduced in the New Document dialog, that allows you to upload a file or multiple files into the new document during its creation.

•You can also add Comments for each uploaded file.

Why

Improve productivity while working with product tree view by grouping rows based on their values.

How  

• A new command “Group by the column” is now available from the header of each column

• This command will group the product structure according to the selected value in this column.
