⚡ Link Multiple Files to a Document

Why

Streamline Document Management process by accessing and working separately on each file of a document in a single view

How     

New tab, named ‘Files’, was introduced in Document Management application in the Information panel of a selected document.

The Files tab allows you to:

  • View all files uploaded to the document
  • Work on each file separately

New column, named ‘Files’ was added to the document content view:

  • The ‘Files’ column display the number of files per each document
  • By clicking on the number of files, the ‘Files’ tab is opened in Information panel display all files information

The ‘Lock Status’ column has been enhanced to display lock information of all files

                                                 

Approval Status column within Bookmark Editor widget

Why

Make informed decisions on objects, through the new Approval Status column

How     

You can now add ‘Approval Status’ column to the content view in Bookmark Editor application.

The ‘Approval Status’ column allows you to view the approval status of an object based on its associated route/s.

By using the object context menu, you can now:

  • Perform Route actions (Approve, Reject, Abstain, Comment) depending on the route type.
  • Display all approval processes associated with the object, by clicking on the ‘Approval Process’ command

Note: The ‘Approval Status’ column is not shown by default. You can enable it using the Custom Views panel.                                          

Support Web Edition of MS Office Documents (Bookmark Editor)

Why

Speed up productivity by editing office documents directly in the web browser

How     

You can now open, edit, and save office documents in the web browser also from the Bookmark Editor widget

NoteTo enable this enhancement, the following setting should be enabled:

“Enable Office Document Editor’,

(available in the ‘Platform Management’ dashboard, under the ‘Content’ tab in the ‘Office Document Editor Control Center’ section )

 

This capability is available on cloud only

Creation Panel to Create a Bookmark

Why

Reduce errors and save time through a new Bookmark creation panel

How     

You can now set Bookmark information during the creation of a Bookmark:

  • Title of the bookmark
  • Credentials
  • Description (optional)
  • Inherit Sharing from Parent (Yes / No) 
    Appears only for Sub Bookmarks

 

Edit and Update Document from Search Within

Why

Save time by editing and updating a document directly from the search within dialog in Bookmark Editor app

How     

  • The commands: Edit, Update, Lock, and Download are now available on the selected document directly from the search within results in Bookmark Editor app.
  • This allows you to edit a document directly from the search within results in Bookmark Editor app, without the need to first open the document in Bookmark.

Duplication of Bookmark with Suffix and Prefix

Why

Improved Bookmark duplication process by adding prefix and/or suffix to duplicated bookmark

How     

You can now set Prefix and/or Suffix when duplicating Bookmarks

 

Ability to Push Subscription on Bookmarks

Why

Improve awareness through notifications

How     

You can now push subscription to others in Bookmark Editor app

This is done using two new commands that were added to the Subscription menu toolbar:

  • ‘Subscription for Others’ - add subscription for other persons for specific events.
  • ‘Edit Subscription for Others’ – view subscriptions by object, event type, and person.
    You can unsubscribe a person from an event, all persons from an event, and all event subscriptions for all persons for an object.

Support of Subscriptions & 3DNotifications for Classification

Why

Improve awareness on events of classification through notifications

How     

You can now subscribe and push subscription to a general class for specific events, such as:

  • Content Added
  • Content Removed
  • General Class Deleted
  • General Class Promoted to Active State
  • General Class Promoted to Obsolete State
  • General Class Demoted to Active State
  • General Class Demoted to Inactive State

The Subscription menu is available in the toolbar of both applications:

  • 'IP Classification Editor’
  • ‘IP Classify & Reuse’ applications

 

 

Report an Issue Using Existing Issue Template  (from 3D Markup)

Why

Save time by using the predefined issue template while reporting on issues in the 3D Markup app

How     

  • You can now use the new “Generate Issue from Template” option in the Markup tab of the 3D Markup app.
  • This allows you to select the predefined issue template from the list and use it to report the issue.
  • All the details from the template are carried-forward. You can update them as required and report new issues on-the-fly.

Cross-Highlighting Between Issue Management and Other Apps

Why

Easily find the required issue by cross-highlighting it from other apps

How     

  • You can now cross-highlight the Issue that is displayed in two apps, in the same dashboard:
  • When you select the Issue object in the Bookmark Editor or IP Classify & Reuse app, it is cross-highlighted in the list of issues available in the Issue Management app.
  • This helps in easily finding the required issue from the list of various issues.

 

Route Management: Setting “Blocking Maturity” for Route Content

Why

Seamlessly control the maturity state of the Physical Product and other types of objects in the route content until route completion

How     

You can now block the maturity state promotion of the following object types added in the route content:

  • Engineering Objects: Physical Product, 3D Shape, Drawing, CAD-Specific Data, CAD Family
  • Manufacturing Objects: Manufacturing Item, Planning Operation, Planning Work Instruction, Planning System

 

Route Management: Setting “Target Maturity” for Route Content

Why

Improve your approval process by the ability to set target maturity state of the route content

How     

  • The new “Target Maturity” field is now provided for the objects added in the route Content tab. When a route is completed, the route content is promoted to the selected “Target Maturity” state.
  • This provides flexibility to set the target maturity other than the subsequent maturity of the route content.
